This week we have been honouring the work that carers across the nation do every week for the people that they love.

On Monday, a group of Carers enjoyed a day trip into Largs, followed by High Tea.

Tuesday was the first of our Musical Extravaganzas, which took place in the Dalmellington Carers Centre.

Tonight (Wednesday 12th June), it’s the turn of Kilmarnock, at the Take a Bow Opportunity Centre (formally the New Farm Community Centre). A group of very talented young carers will be performing and the event is open to everyone. Tickets cost £2 and are available at the door. The event starts at 6:30pm and will be finishing at 8:30pm.

Tomorrow (Thursday 13th June), we will be hosting the Great Carers Bake Off and Garden Parties. These events will be taking place in Dalmellington Carers Centre and also at the Carers Cottage, Howard Park, Kilmarnock. Registered carers, ex-carers and cared for people will be attending. The Bake Off is from 11:00am till noon. You are invited to bring your own creations, or decorate some cakes that will be provided. The Garden Parties are from noon till 2:00pm. We will be enjoying some delicious food, good company and lovely chat.
