It was a pleasure to meet the teachers and students of Salt & Barrel restaurant, in Ayrshire College. They have been donating three course lunches to carers through Respitality for over a year. One of the carers who has benefited from this is Elizabeth, who went with her husband, Richard. She told us that the food was excellent and that the waiters were very attentive, with one of the head members of staff coming over to see that all was well with their experience. Elizabeth told us that the break lifted her mood and made her feel relaxed as she had no food to prepare or dishes to do. Today, we presented Salt & Barrel with a “Thank You” certificate, for their continuing generosity in helping to #MakeACarersDay.
